Just back from Nova Scotia
We had a great trip to Nova Scotia ! - Andrea and Tomer's wedding was beautiful, we had a great visit at the Shubie River Vineyards and enjoyed spending time with family and friends while taking in the scenery.

The Magic Ingredient is....
My brother, John, told me some time ago that the best thing to put in my tomatoes was a leaf compost which is made in the fall by mowing your lawn when the autumn leaves have fallen, collecting the mulched up leaves, placing them in a plastic bag with lots of water, securing the bag so that the water doesn't evaporate and placing the bags of leaves and water somewhere in a sunny part of the yard until spring, at which time the composted leaves get added to the earth where your tomatoes are planted and voila! This year I only had enough compost for one of my two tomato pots - it's easy to see that John's recipe is a recipe for tomato and cucumber success. Thanks John!! I'll know to make more next year!
